Checkmate, Mr. Eko Edition

Todays links of interest:

  • Same-sex couple claims bias at Safeco Field
This is a tough one. On one hand, you want to root for the nice lesbian couple against the bluenoses who get their panties in a twist over a couple of girls kissing. On the other hand, one of the girls was a contestant on "A Shot of Love With Tila Tequila," which means that she thought that it was a good idea to pretend to try fall in love with a stupid, ugly gnome of a person on national TV. In this case, everybody loses.
  • ISS Toilet Fixed, Astronauts Relieved
Sure, because they were really getting sick of having to go outside to take care of their business.
  • Mortgage turmoil snares Ed McMahon
You know what would totally pay that off? If he won the Publisher’s Clearinghouse Sweepstakes! Actually,it isn’t so much the Mortgage turmoil that’s keeping him from selling his house, but rather the Britney turmoil.
  • What Newspapers Still Don’t Understand About The Web
Another sad example of how newspapers continue to fail online.
  • Accused Sept. 11 mastermind sings in court
FOX is already in touch with him in order to see if they can get him on next year’s American Idol, figuring that he’d be a more interesting personality than any of the people they had last time.
  • L.A. to sue Time Warner Cable over poor service
Just sayin’ Charter, you should be looking over your shoulder.
